    The bond between the organism and the environment is the synerg which is composed of the biological role and the selection force; the sum of all the synergs is the niche. […] the interconnection between the organism and its environment is through a couple formed by the biological role and the selection force. This couple may be called a synerg signifying a working together of the organism and the environment.
