    The opposite process [to paedomorphosis] occurs when positive perturbations in the growth rate or offset signal produce descendant organisms whose form transcends that of the ancestor. No appropriate term exists, so we shall call these, collectively, peramorphs (“shapes beyond”) and the associated accelerating process peramorphosis
