  Wir können poikilohydre Pflanzen und homoiohydre unterscheiden. Zu den ersten gehören die Algen, die Pilze, die Flechten und die Moose, zu den letzteren die Blütenpflanzen. Die erste Gruppe besitzt keine eigene Hydratur, sondern sie folgt ganz den Hydraturveränderungen der Außenwelt.
